Cambridge Lawn Tennis Club (CLTC) is a community-based not-for-profit club committed to making tennis available to all ages, abilities, and social groups in and around the Cambridge area. It aims to maintain competitive, team and tournament level play in singles and doubles, but also to provide a strong social ‘turn up and play’ atmosphere all year round. The club places great emphasis on junior tennis, enabling players to develop their full potential through a performance coaching route.

We are the biggest club in Cambridgeshire, with around 650 members, and 17 courts. The club was voted LTA club of the year 2008 and is the first club in the Eastern region to achieve the Tennis club mark. Whilst we may be the biggest, we pride ourselves on being family-friendly and our varied social activities cater for all tastes - come and join us!

We are the first club in the East Region to achieve a Tennis Club Mark. The award was presented by the LTA during the club's Talent Spotting Day and is recognition for CLTC's excellent standards.

The Business Cup was a great success.
We raised £400.00 which will be donated to two local charities. Well done to everyone who took part.

Congratulations to the Top Spin Tennis Team who took home the trophy in the Players section and The Institute of Theoretical Geophysics for winning the Novice section.

Club championships finals

We are National Champions!

Congratulations to our under 18 boys team who were crowned 2008 Under 18 Boys National Junior Club League Champions on Sunday 7th September.

The boys battled their way through the county stages (starting back in March) and through the regional knock-out (beating Sutton Tennis Academy, Luton and Maidstone in the process).  They then beat Boston and Cardiff in the finals at the Nottingham tennis centre 6h and 7th September.  Matches couldn’t have been tighter with both the semi and final being won on a penalty shootout (match tie break to 10 when the match scores are 3 all!).

The team at Nottingham was – Robin Goodman, Matt Nicholson-Lewis, Ed Garrott, Greg Clowes and Charlie Horn. Thanks to the supporters who travelled up from Cambridge which made all the difference!
