Congratulations to the U12 Girls Premier National League Team who played in the finals on 17 and 18 July and took a really creditable third place. The girls have all had an unforgettable experience playing at the National Tennis Centre, on what was a very hot weekend. Thomasina, received a spray down from a court office seconds after coming through in her singles match against Elite Tennis.

The U12 boys and girls Premier National League teams have both reached the finals at Roehampton in July.

Congratulations to the 14 and Under girls who beat Edgbaston in the delayed 2020 National 14 and Under League on Saturday, 10 April 2021.
National League aims to provide players of all ages (8&U- Adult) with regular league matches, against similar standard players in a competitive team environment. Teams compete on a county basis in leagues which are appropriate to their player standard. Stronger teams in certain age groups (12U-Open) have an opportunity to compete outside their county in regional leagues. Matches consist of singles and doubles rubbers.
National league season will run from April-June. This period helps places to play focus on singles based team competition and allows teams and players to build momentum during the season.
In the 8&U-18&U age groups teams are placed in divisions based on the standard of players in the team for that year. This helps to provide appropriate matches for the team players year on year. The adult age group is a promotion and relegation structure providing a clear and competitive pathway of teams.
CLTC endeavors to enter teams into all age groups and enters multiple teams when there are enough players to support more teams. The club’s Head Coach Sue Rich is in overall charge of National League Tennis at CLTC and there are also volunteer captains for each team who do a great job getting the team organised.
