The Bar

After our steep learning curve of last season, we have taken stock of what we had hoped and what we actually achieved! The refurbishment of the bar and the new furniture made the clubhouse far more comfortable and attractive, as well as making it easier to work behind the bar! It seems we hit the mark with the range of beers on tap as well as the other drinks on offer, so a big thank you to all those who supported us, especially the regular Thursday evening crowd. Our small and select band of volunteers was invaluable, and we look forward to working with them again this season.

We have decided to formally open the bar this season on Tuesdays and Thursdays only; Team Captains will be encouraged to serve themselves after matches, having been shown the ropes. The bar will open for the season on the first Thursday in April, weather permitting.

We will continue serving food on Thursdays, coinciding with the Social Play evenings. On the 5th May we’ll be celebrating the beginning of the season, so pop into the clubhouse after play for a drink and nibbles on the house.
