CLTC offers a number of tennis related activities for juniors. Please see below for more details on coaching, competitions, as well as social activities.
Coaching
CLTC offers a variety of coaching courses and half-term camps for juniors. The CLTC coaching team has the ability to make tennis fun for juniors while improving their technique and knowledge of the game.
Team Tennis
CLTC enters multiple teams in the LTA National League Summer team competitions, from 8U to 18U at the county level, with a couple of age-groups in the Premier division. The club often fields multiple teams per age group, giving many members the opportunity to compete for the club.
Tournaments
The club hosts a number of county level tournaments throughout the year for all age groups providing opportunities for juniors at all levels to compete in one of the club’s tournaments. Regional level tournaments over Easter and Summer are attended by some of the best national players. The club also runs a number of internal tournaments, including the club championships, fun doubles events and a junior pro/am for yellow ball players where older juniors are paired with younger junior in a fun doubles format.
Junior Night Match Play
Running over the Easter and Summer terms, Friday night match play proves to be the highlight of the week for many juniors at the club. The children receive valuable competition experience in a fun environment. Following match play, pizza and ice lollies are served in the clubhouse.
Junior Social Events
Social events occur throughout the year and combine tennis skills and drills, fun activities and food. These club socials provide an opportunity for our junior members to come together, helping to build and maintain a club spirit. When face-to-face events are not permitted, we’ve been able to host a virtual Easter Egg Hunt and Christmas Party.
