Cambridge Lawn Tennis Club’s membership year runs from April 1st to March 31st. We are the largest club in East Anglia, with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, supporting our local community. Below are some of the benefits of becoming a member.
Facilities
- Clubhouse with changing room and shower facilities, vending machine, lounge, subsidised bar and kitchen area
- Full time management team to assist you, delivering a monthy newsletter with club news and forthcoming events
- Top Spin Tennis pro shop supplying equipment and offering a racket stringing service, as well as shoes, clothing, accessories and an annual demo day with the latest new rackets
- 16 courts (11 all year round floodlit courts) comprising of; 7 artificial grass, 7 tarmacadam and 2 grass (May to September)
- Ball machine for hire
- Practice wall area
- Free parking
Court Bookings
- Members can book (via Clubspark) a 1.5hr slot on any of our 14 all weather courts up to 8 days in advance
- Two additional grass courts are available to book between May and September from 11am to 8pm, weather permitting
- Associated membership of Hills Road Tennis Centre allowing court bookings at reduced rates
Social Tennis
- 4 weekly doubles sessions for experienced players
- Free entry into the club championships and annual social tournaments
- Free entry into the singles league
- Organised social events including, music nights, BBQ’s, quizzes, christmas dinner and charity auction, etc.
- Members can invite guests to play for a £5.00 fee up to 6 times per year
Juniors
- Access to our team of LTA accredited+ coaches who are highly experienced at coaching all ages and abilities.
- Reduced rates for group coaching / tennis camps with prioritised advanced booking
- Supervised Junior club night sessions for free play on Fridays 4-6.30pm, Easter to July
- Cambs and National League LTA team tennis
- Junior members can book courts at all times
Coaching
- Access to our team of LTA accredited+ coaches who are highly experienced at coaching all ages and abilities.
- Private lessons are available to book directly with the coach
- Group lessons can be booked via the website
- Reduced rates for group coaching / tennis camps with prioritised advanced booking
Competition
- Opportunities to compete in club teams for juniors, adults, veterans (45+) and super seniors (60+) of the appropriate level in the local LTA Cambridgeshire Leagues and National Leagues
- Singles League for adults
- Annual Club Championships
- Internal social club doubles tournaments for adults
- Grade 3 week long tournaments at Easter and Summer for juniors and adults (for players competing at a county, regional or national level)
- Adult member – A single person over the age of 18 on 1 April 2026
- Senior 70 member – aged 70 or over on 1 April 2026 with a minimum of 5 years consecutive membership
- Mini member – 8 and under on 1 April 2026
- Junior member – 18 and under on 1 April 2026
- Student member – full time students who are not being paid to study, only with proof of student NUS card
- Family member – 2 adults and maximum of 2 children aged 18 and under on 1 April 2026
- Single parent family – 1 adult (single, widowed or divorced) and maximum of 2 children aged 18 and under on 1 April 2026

Members are allowed to bring guests to play, but must inform the office of their name & contact details prior to playing and pay a £5.00 guest fee per visit. Each guest is permitted to play up to six times per year.
All memberships are non transferable.
